Past Events at St Andrews

Blessing of the Throats

A Blessing of the Throats at St. Andrews.  It was the Feast Day of St. Blaise, bishop and martyr.  It was also Children's Liturgy Sunday at St. Andrew's.  With the help of two of the children, we had a blessing of the throats in honor of St. Blaise. Candles that have been blessed are crossed and slightly open. They are then pressed against the throat and a prayer is said.

*Pavilion is in the rear, near the ball diamonds
*Meat and place settings will be provided
*Please bring a dish to share and your own

 Directions:  I-69 East to M15 (Davison exit), turn left, drive approximately 1 mile to Lexington St.  Turn left, proceed one block to Dayton St.  Turn right, proceed 1 ½ blocks to Harvey Dr. 
Turn left.

Veteran's Dedication

There was a dedication held for Veterans who have, throughout history, given their lives.  They gave their lives so we can enjoy the freedom that we have in our country.  There was a  service held at St. Andrews, a dedication and a wreath presentation. Refreshments followed.
